Desirée is a warm and approachable counsellor who holds a Master of Counselling Studies and is committed to providing a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable to explore what is important to them. Grounded in a person-centred foundation, she works pluralistically, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to respond to each client’s individual needs and goals.
She works with children, adolescents, and adults, bringing experience from private practice, high school settings and pastoral care, and offers online counselling to provide flexible and accessible support.
She supports clients with a range of concerns, including grief, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression, and has a particular interest in working with autistic and other neurodivergent clients. She aims to provide an inclusive and affirming therapeutic space. Her work focuses on building self-awareness, strengthening resilience, and supporting meaningful change.
Outside of her counselling work, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, fitness and dance, music, and creative expression.
